Following this year’s National Conference, UKWA will be hosting a ‘bitesize’ event in Northern Ireland on 31st March at the Stormont Hotel in Belfast.
UKWA CEO Clare Bottle explains, “We’re keen to reach out to warehousing and logistics companies in Northern Ireland, sharing insights and our vision for this fast-growing sector. The theme, as with our National Conference, will be ‘Building Tomorrow’s Workforce Today’.
The Belfast Conference will provide an opportunity for professionals from the Irish logistics and warehousing sector to get together and talk about the challenges we are facing and discuss potential strategies going forward, from the warehouse property market, labour shortages and going green to going digital and adopting new technology.
As we start to overcome the challenges of Brexit and Covid, let’s get together and get back to business!”
An expert line up of speakers includes Simon McKeever, Chief Executive of the Irish Exporters Association, Operations Director at Talent in Logistics, Ruth Edwards, Paul McKeown, Managing Director of TR Logistics Group and Richard Atkinson CBE, Teaching Fellow at Aston University, one of the UK’s leading logistics faculties.
An inspiring afternoon of lively conference sessions will be followed by a networking drinks reception and a three course dinner.
