Once again, UKWA is proud to have been a sponsor for Transaid’s Annual Showcase, held in the presence of the charity’s patron, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, at Eversheds Sutherland last week.
The event highlighted Transaid’s mission to transform lives through safe, sustainable and inclusive transport, and celebrated the continued support of the UK’s leading transport and logistics organisations.
UKWA has been a staunch supporter over many years and is delighted to have been part of the journey so far. This year, UKWA was represented by Policy & Public Affairs Director Edwin Morgan and Member Benefits Manager Tracey Starkey, both of whom were honoured to be presented to The Princess Royal.
Her Excellency The High Commissioner to the Republic of Kenya was also in attendance, along with 125 senior executives from across the industry.
UKWA CEO Clare Bottle commented, “We are committed to Transaid’s vital work combatting Malaria in sub-Saharan Africa, where this deadly but preventable disease remains a major public health issue.
