Political Representation

As the Voice of Warehousing, UKWA champions your interests on the political stage. Through parliamentary engagement and representation in key government bodies, we ensure your concerns are heard loud and clear. Nominate experts from your team to contribute to our policy work, shaping the future of the industry and securing a favourable operating environment for your business.

UKWA is The Voice of Warehousing. We are the foremost advocate for the industry, passionately representing the concerns and interests of our members in the political arena.

We actively engage with Parliament to raise awareness of political issues impacting the UK warehousing sector. Through parliamentary events, responses to government consultations, and direct communication with ministers and MPs, we ensure that the voice of our members is heard and respected.

By invitation, UKWA holds positions on key government bodies such as the Freight Council, Freight Energy Forum, and Solar Taskforce. These platforms enable us to contribute directly to shaping government policies related to warehousing and logistics.

With the guidance of our Honorary President, Baroness McIntosh of Pickering, and the expertise of our dedicated Policy & Public Affairs team, UKWA is uniquely positioned to influence government policy on warehousing. We leverage this expertise to advocate for favourable policies that benefit our members.

Member companies have the opportunity to nominate experts from their teams to contribute to UKWA’s policy work through Advisory Boards. These boards cover various areas including Property & Planning, Energy & Net Zero, People & Skills, Digitisation & Technology, Trade & Borders, Safety, and Young People, ensuring a comprehensive approach to policy development.
