Quality Standards audit

Membership of UKWA confirms that your company adheres to the high quality standards of operation required in today’s demanding logistics environment. For your customers, the UKWA badge of membership provides the reassurance that your business has been independently assessed and is suitably accredited by the industry trade body.

For this reason, all companies applying for membership of UKWA must be audited as part of the process of joining the association. In this way, UKWA can fulfil its stated mission of maintaining and driving up industry standards, while supporting members in developing their business.

Your business will be audited by an experienced assessor and, where appropriate, you will be offered support and advice on improving any areas that do not meet UKWA standards.

A UKWA audit also enables you to benchmark your business against peers in the industry.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, UKWA WILL BE UNABLE TO VISIT PREMISES TO CONDUCT AN AUDIT

Benchmarking

As a member, you will also be able to take part in the UKWA national benchmarking survey, which is undertaken in partnership with US based WERC (Warehousing Education & Research Council). This provides the opportunity to benchmark your business in both a domestic and global context, identify areas of strength and weakness, and formulate a business development plan going forward.
