UKWA welcomes HRH The Princess Royal to Multimodal Pavilion

June 14, 2024

A visit by HRH The Princess Royal to UKWA’s Pavilion at Multimodal 2024 was a fitting climax to a successful event over three days at the NEC, according to UKWA CEO Clare Bottle.

In addition to showcasing UKWA members’ products and services, the extensive UKWA  Pavilion provided a valuable networking forum and information point on member benefits, attracting more visitors than ever before to the stand.

Over the course of the show, UKWA also organised and hosted a series of well-attended key note presentations and topical panel discussions in the Cadbury Theatre as part of the Multimodal conference, sharing expertise on topics as diverse as the circular economy, why the UK leads the  world in e-commerce and the future of warehousing.

For the first time, marking 2024 The Year of Warehousing, the Multimodal Awards Dinner included recognition for ‘Best Warehouse Operation of The Year’, which was sponsored by UKWA and presented to winners Iron Mountain by Clare Bottle.

Clare comments, “Multimodal is an extremely important event for the industry and for UKWA. This year we excelled ourselves with an engaging programme of activities designed to enable us to talk about warehousing, promote our forthcoming UKWA Awards for Excellence Lunch and new Warehouse Manager CPC course, as well as building community.

Warm congratulations to UKWA member Iron Mountain on their well-deserved win in the Multimodal Awards and a big thank you to everyone who visited our stand or attended our conference sessions. Multimodal 2024 was a big success for us and having HRH The Princess Royal visit the UKWA Pavilion on the final day of the show truly put the icing on the cake!”
