UKWA Sponsors Transaid’s Cycle Malawi 2022

UKWA is proud to be the Gold Sponsor for designated charity Transaid’s Cycle Malawi 2022 challenge.

Now fully subscribed for 1-9 October, 2022 will be the 10th year the international development organisation dedicated to resolving logistics and transport challenges in sub-Saharan Africa has staged the cycling event.

Postponed from 2020, the once in a lifetime trip across the ‘Warm Heart of Africa’ is a chance to see rural Africa and its people in all their glory with five days of cycling covering 60 miles a day. On the fourth day, riders will take on the Zomba Plateau, which involves travelling to a height of 2,080m.

Peter Whitehead, Managing Director of UKWA member P.F.Whitehead, is a Transaid Ambassador and will be taking part once again in the challenge. UKWA will be tracking his progress and sharing his reports from Malawi.
