IM Properties has begun the speculative development of two logistics units at its 400 acre Birch Coppice Business Park in the West Midlands. The two units, measuring 165,600 sq ft and 168,900 sq ft, are being built at the North Warwickshire business park by McLaren Construction and are due to complete in January 2014. Meanwhile, Harris Transport has taken Oceanic Estates’ 109,588 sq ft warehouse known as Avalon at Eastleigh near Southampton. The company, which is relocating due to expansion, has taken a 15 year lease at an undisclosed rent.
