Networking conference

Warehousing Futures 2013, the Annual Conference of UKWA, takes place at the  St John’s Hotel Solihull on 21-22 October.

Now in its 6th year, this specialist warehousing networking event’s theme isAdapting to Change “ maintaining a competitive edge in an e-volving world.

We received feedback from over 50 of last year’s attendees and asked them what they would like to hear and discuss at future conferences, and the impact on warehousing of e-retailing was their top priority, says event organizer, Peter Acton.

The networking dinner will feature both pre- and after-dinner speakers, while the conference itself will be split evenly into speaker presentations and interactive panel sessions.

The first panel will demonstrate how innovation brings cost reductions and will cover new and innovative packaging from Airsac, innovative ideas on energy saving, and financial management.

The final session of the day is sponsored by Unipart Logistics when a panel of retailers and distributors will discuss the changing warehouse requirements of e-tailers, including Waitrose,  Spicers, and Travis Perkins.
