Getting the cream

September 2, 2013

Dairy Crest has extended its contract with Gist to incorporate cream and flavoured milk into its existing milk contract in a move that is expected to save 1,200 trips or 300,000 km a year. Dairy Crest is continually looking for ways in which we can improve our business. By reviewing our logistics operations with Gist, we have been able to reduce the use of warehouse space as well as reduce our carbon footprint, said Simon King, procurement director at Dairy Crest.
