GANESTATE LOGISTICS EXPANDS INTO BONDED STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION: IMPLEMENTS ACCESS DELTA BOND SYSTEM TO DRIVE NEW OPERATION We looked at other bonded warehouse systems but Delta Bond outscored them all. Its design is very well thought through, it is user friendly and it is competitively priced says Ganestate bond operations director Tom Absolon

10 December 2012 ” Ganestate Logistics, based in Ashby de la Zouch,
Leicestershire, has implemented the market leading Access Delta Bond, bonded warehouse management system. The company’s decision follows an industry-wide review of bonded warehouse technology and underlines Access Delta’s increasing dominance of this key WMS market segment. Access Delta Bond will drive Ganestate’s new storage and distribution, bonded goods operation within the company’s secure 130,000 square foot, 20,000-pallet, fully racked and temperature controlled warehouse, situated on an 11-acre site.

Ganestate will provide owners of wet goods (beers, wines and spirits) with a
full 3PL service that is also HMRC (Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs)
compliant. We view the bonded warehouse system as critical to the growth of the business, says operations director Tom Absolon, whose background is in wines and spirits distribution. We looked at other bonded warehouse systems but Access Delta outscored them all. Its design is very well thought
through, it is user friendly and it is competitively priced. Access Delta’s
people know bond, and it shows.

The Access Delta Bond excise bonded warehouse system provides the
administrative control required to operate an HMRC excise bonded warehouse, and is already used by many leading bonded operations in the UK. Its audit trail enables full stock traceability from point of receipt to point of dispatch, for every item that moves through the warehouse.

Easy to use, yet powerful enough to meet the needs of all sizes of bonded
warehouse operations Access Delta Bond is fully compliant with HRMC Notices 197 and 232 for the operation of alcohol and tobacco warehouses. By automating the production of all HRMC approved documentation, it has been designed to dramatically cut user administration costs. With embedded duty calculations and fully automated links to HMRC systems such as EMCS, Access Delta Bond automatically and accurately produces all HMRC required documentation including W1 monthly and W1a annual returns, W5/W5D, W6/W6D and C88/C88a – all in plain paper format that matches HMRC specifications.

Access Delta (www.theaccessgroup.com/delta) claims the largest percentage of 3PL clients of any WMS technology supplier. The company was recently acquired by Access Group (www.theaccessgroup.com ), a leading UK business solutions provider, and has become a division of the Group under a new ‘Access Delta’ brand.
