The UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) has appointed Debby Mills as Head of Finance and Operations. Debby joins the team having provided support services as a consultant to the Association since the beginning of this financial year.
Debby has a strong background with over 15 years in Finance Leadership roles, founding her own business, KYB Accountancy Services, in 2022. She has additional experience in Quality Systems, process creation and implementation and people development, equipping her perfectly for her new role with UKWA.
In addition to financial management, Debby will have responsibility for UKWA’s day-to-day operations, including IT, HR and management of UKWA’s new apprenticeship programme.
Commenting on Debby’s appointment, UKWA CEO Clare Bottle says, “UKWA is growing rapidly, with more new initiatives underway for 2024 than ever before. Not least, we are implementing major changes in our digital systems, and Debby’s experience in leading that project will be invaluable. She is a highly capable professional and is already proving a great asset to the team.”
Debby adds, “I’m delighted to be joining UKWA. Over the months I’ve been working with them, I’ve been impressed by the dynamic, ambitious culture and the hard-working friendly team; I love what UKWA is aiming to achieve for warehousing, and I look forward to playing my part in meeting those goals.”
Debby joins UKWA in the run up to the Association’s 2024 The Year of Warehousing campaign, which will mark the 80th anniversary of its inception and celebrate the role of warehousing in supply chains and the sector’s contribution to the UK economy.
