Crime down
March 7, 2013
Crime rates have dropped at Brackmills Industrial Estate, the logistics centre in Northampton. The logistics and transport park has seen a 95 per cent cut in thefts from lorries and an overall reduction of crime by more than 60 per cent, following the launch of CCTV cameras, additional street lamps and regular police patrols.
The crime reduction measures were taken after the estate, just off junction 15 of the M1, was named one of the UK’s hotspots for lorry crime.
