Clare Bottle appointed to London’s Industry & Logistics Sounding Board

UKWA CEO Clare Bottle has been invited to be a member of London’s Industry & Logistics Sounding Board (ILSB), having been nominated by an existing Board member, DHL.

The ILSB is an independent, cross-sector Sounding Board. It was established by the Greater London Authority (GLA) in partnership with London First in 2017 and was originally set up to provide advice to the Mayor on the preparation of new London Plan policy.

Now the purpose and remit of the Board has been broadened to include more practical and market considerations and, to help with that goal, the membership base is being widened to ensure it is genuinely cross sector and representative of London as a whole. ILSB aims to increase borough representation, central Government representation and also the range of developers, occupiers, logistics organisations and professional advisers on the Board.

Commenting on her appointment to the Board, Clare said, “I’m delighted to have been recommended by DHL and to have been unanimously voted onto the ILSB. The refreshed remit of the board certainly covers issues central to UKWA’s interests, so I look forward to playing my part as a member of the Sounding Board.”
