Global Brands, the leading independent drinks brand developments business that owns, markets and distributes an enviable collection of branded products to over 40 countries worldwide has purchased the Access Delta warehouse management system (WMS) to run its 76,500 square foot  Burton on Trent warehouse operation.

The company’s international brands include RTDs (ready to drink products), notably ‘VK’, beers, soft drinks and spirits. In the UK Global Brands’ 100

on- and off-trade customers include breweries and wholesalers as well as major retailers such as Morrisons, Tesco and Asda.

Global Brands’ Financial Director, Shaun Bacon commented: “Access Delta’s WMS will give us more robust information on the productivity of our warehouse operation than our current system, and better insight into our business efficiency. It will also enable us to optimise our rolling inventory checking. This is a highly flexible warehouse management system that will support the ongoing expansion and diversification of our business.”

The global WMS market is expected to grow at a CAGR of eight per cent over the next three years, driven by demand from small and medium sized companies, the growth of internet retailing and a shift towards distributed and smaller warehousing.
