Members urged to maintain regular safety checks

April 7, 2020

During the COVID-19 crisis, members are reminded to maintain weekly and monthly checks on safety systems and equipment, regardless of whether the building is occupied. This includes sprinkler system checks, weekly pump checks, fire alarm checks, general security checks and other routine maintenance, to ensure logistics facilities provide a safe working environment during the crisis, and when staff return to normal working patterns.  With furloughed staff within your own and suppliers’ businesses, don’t hesitate to contact UKWA if you need support with testing and maintenance.
