UKWA has several Advisory Boards in place, comprising groups of specialists able to provide expert advice as well as strategic direction in key areas affecting those operating in the logistics industry. These include legal matters, tax, customs & excise, training & education, health & safety, property & real estate and more.
The Advisory Boards ensure that the Association is able to provide the best possible insight, advice and support to members, keeping them abreast of any changes that may impact on their businesses.
UKWA’s Customs & Tax Advisory Board, for example, works closely with H M Revenue and Customs, as well as the Joint Customs Consultative Committee (JCCC) and the Joint Alcohol and Tobacco Consultation Group (JATCG).
The Advisory Boards also enable UKWA to respond to consultative documents from governmental departments on behalf of the membership.
