A new access road to the Western Port in the French Port of Dunkirk has been opened.The new road provides direct access from the A16 motorway to the Flanders Container Terminal, the ferry terminal and the logistics area, avoiding a congested roundabout and a level crossing that is not grade-separated.It will also allow intercity traffic to flow much more freely, according to the Grand Port Maritime de Dunkerque.Located on the North Sea, Dunkirk-Port is situated 40 kilometers from the English Port of Dover and 10 kilometers from the Belgian border.
