Skills for Logistics has developed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with a number of key industry stakeholders which agree to a strategic plan for future joint working.
There are currently 8 MoUs in place with:
■ Freight Transport Association
■ Association of Newspaper and Magazine Wholesalers
■ UK Warehousing Association
■ United Road Transport Union
■ Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
■ Freight Best Practice
■ Unite
■ Food Storage and Distribution Federation
An MoU is also due to be signed on 2 December with the Electrical Distributors Association.
The MoUs detail strategic objectives for a formal business relationship which will lead to the introduction of a more effective and better integrated working relationship between Skills for Logistics and these organisations at all levels.
