The North Lincolnshire Health & Safety Group has presented PD Logistics with its annual Health & Safety award, recognising the Companys commitment to the highest levels of health and safety for the second year running.

The main award was presented to Jim French, director and general manager for PD Logistics at the awards ceremony, which was held at Wortley House Hotel, Scunthorpe on 26 February.

The judging panel awarded PD Logistics, part of the PD Ports Group, the annual health and safety title based on the Companys continued commitment to improving competence levels and raising its health and safety standards over the past twelve months.

Maria Sanderson, President of the North Lincolnshire Health & Safety Group said during her speech that evening: "PD Logistics participation and that of its employees, in continued safety improvements and the quality of their award entry made them outright winners."

Russ McCallion, PD Ports group human resources director, said: "We are delighted to have received this award for the second year running. Safety is paramount across our business and the health and safety of all our staff and contractors remains number one on our list of priorities."

PD Logistics was one of four finalists, which included, Tube City, a leading provider of outsourced steel services, Lincs Ironmasters and BPH.
