European freight forwarders have continued to see a growth in volumes, suggests the 'Danske Bank European Freight Forwarding Index' which continued to rise in April, up to 67 from 64 in March. However, expectations fell for the first time this year to 66; this decline comes as growth in world trade is expected to ease and fuel prices continue to rise. The index measures changes in the volumes of goods that companies are currently handling and changes in volumes that they expect to handle in the next two months.
