Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Port of Hull has recently signed a new five-year agreement with SCA Timber Supply Ltd. The new agreement will see SCA Timber Supply handling and distributing in excess of 100,000 tonnes of forest products through the port every year from their terminal facility in King George Dock.

Matt Jukes, ABP Port Director Hull & Goole, said: “I am absolutely delighted that we have been able to secure a new agreement with SCA Timber Supply. Hull is the leading port for softwood imports with approximately 1 million cubic metres handled each year. We have an excellent relationship with SCA and I am extremely pleased that this will continue in the future.”

Neil Emsley, Operations Director, SCA Timber Supply, said: “We too are delighted we could extend our agreement with ABP, to secure volumes from our Swedish mills into the port of Hull. We sell and further process timber from our mills, which is shipped on our own vessels, planned and managed by the SCA logistics division, SCA Transforest.”
