Imagine completing your UK customs entry from your mobile telephone? A Scottish based company, Freeworld Trading do just that! Using the web based e-customs® system, they can prepare and submit their customs documentation from any point, anywhere, anytime. This is an example which highlights some of the many benefits of using web based customs clearances – ease of use and total flexibility of access.

Recent enhancements to the e-customs system include the advanced notification of all non – EU cargo arriving in EU territorial waters, (Import Control System – ICS). A web hyperlink allows ships agents and others to arrive the vessel and associated UK ICS messages in real time (as required by HMRC) e.g. from the quayside on vessel arrival.
