1100 Introduction and welcome by Steve Francis, UKWA Southern Region Chairman
1110 Presentation by Kevin Eyre, Head of Consulting, S A Partners LLP, a leading consulting firm in the field of Lean Thinking and Continuous Improvement. Kevin began his career, after a brief flirtation with academia, in Human Resource Management and has spent the past ten years applying the thinking and practice of CI across a range of industry sectors which includes Retail Distribution, Steel Making, Pharmaceuticals and Oil and Gas. His talk today, CI – Uncommon Sense will seek to share insights painfully learnt during the course of helping organisations create and implement systems of Continuous Improvement. Chief among these is the idea that a systematic (perhaps scientific?) approach to CI is more likely to yield sustainable benefits than would more casual and more directive approaches. Investing in CI requires a significant leadership commitment. Kevin’s experience may well help you to understand more about what it takes – it will certainly raise some good questions in your minds. 1140 Presentation by Paul Smitherton of Rocket Consulting. Rocket has a proven track record in working across the entire project from evaluation, proof of concept, design, to implementation and beyond by combining experienced consultants and proven project approach with your business experts to ensure success. They deliver practical and optimal solutions using their project, technical and operational skills to provide consultancy services and turnkey solutions that add value across the industry. Collaborating with you to understand your goals and strategies they introduce flexible methodologies to your business. Paul’s presentation will focus on Is SAP right for your Business.
