1110 Presentation by Lloyd Arkill, PR consultant and Editor Warehouse Magazine. Having edited the market leading logistics journal, Storage Handling Distribution (SHD) for some 15 years, Lloyd Arkill established a press relations company in 2006. Arkill Matthews Allen specialises in helping companies in the materials handling industries create awareness of their brand through a carefully crafted PR strategy. The company represents clients including Unipart Logistics, iForce and UKWA. His company has an excellent track record of success. Lloyd will speak on Creating Profit through positive PR, highlighting some simple tips to harness the power of a company’s brand, whilst drawing attention to the pitfalls that could potentially damage its reputation.
1140 Presentation by Simon Brookfield, Chief Executive and Partner of Forbes HR, a pan European Search and Selection Practice working in the Supply Chain, Logistics and broader Services Sectors. Simon has been instrumental in the formation, growth and the corporate governance of the business since its inception in 1994. His previous career was in Supply Chain, as an HR Director culminating in his appointment as European HR Director for DHL/Exel Supply Chain Solutions. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a member of the Logistics Directors Forum, of the Logistics Leaders Network and an active participant in several Supply Chain working parties. He has presented papers to the Institute at national conferences, at regional and local levels with publications in Logistics Focus, Motor Transport and IFW. His presentation today will focus on The Next Twelve Months - A review of the business and people challenges in logistics and the broader supply chain.
