Toyota Material Handling UK will be exhibiting at the Health and Safety North event at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton on the 5th-6th October 2011 (stand 78).
Requiring up to 67% less start up effort than a conventional hand pallet truck, the award winning BT Pro Lifter hand pallet truck will be a key highlight on the Toyota stand. With unique lifting technology the Pro Lifter is the ergonomic choice for optimal safety and productivity.
The stand will also feature a range of manual and powered pallet trucks designed to help with manual handling. These include a BT High Lifter hand pallet truck which features an ergonomic work station and the BT Levio powered pallet truck, all designed to move loads safely and efficiently.
Tony Wallis, Operations Director for Toyota said "Promoting health and safety in the workplace is important to Toyota and the Health and Safety exhibition provides the ideal platform to demonstrate how our products can help to reduce the risk of manual handling and improve safety at work".
Toyota Material Handling UK will also be promoting their manual handling guide. This free guide offers both employers and employees guidance on the safest ways to lift, stack and move items in the workplace. Wallis explains "Toyota has long been synonymous with looking for new ways to reduce risk in the workplace, both through our product design, and by promoting safe working practices in the workplace. We believe that our manual handling guide offers employers clear and simple advice to help them to meet their legal duties and to help reduce the huge number of injuries that stem from manual handling that are entirely preventable"
Visitors to the Toyota stand (stand 78) will be able to claim a free manual handling guide and enter a free prize draw to win a free one day 'Safety in the Workplace' course for their company from the Toyota Training Academy. The Toyota Training Academy offers a range of training courses including; driver training, manual handling and safety for supervisors' courses.
