Presentation by Paul Burton, UKWA’s Honorary Adviser on Security. Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management. He also holds a masters degree in Security & Risk Management. With 35 years experience as a Manchester policeman and private investigator, Paul will talk on the stresses and strains of the Christmas period and how each year security impacts on business profitability. This highly enlightening and often humorous presentation centres on the cunning and inventiveness of the criminal mind and how a potential lack of security measures could cost you money.

Presentation by Ian Mitchell, Operations Director of the FoodSafe Group - a leading organisation which assists businesses in achieving BRC Global Standard accreditation in both Food Safety and Storage and Distribution. The FoodSafe Group incorporates both consultancy and training divisions, supported by an in-house pest management team which has led the way in introducing new innovations to the marketplace.
Ian will talk on the business critical threat which pests can pose to both food and non-food operators and the importance of partnering with a service provider who adopts an Integrated Pest Management approach.
