How to join
There are two Full Membership categories designed for companies that provide warehousing services utilising their own premises and for those businesses that provide warehousing services without utilising their own premises.
In addition, Associate Membership of the Association is open to any individual, firm or company who is not a Warehouse Keeper but is involved directly or indirectly with warehousing or storage, for example suppliers to the warehousing industry.
To become a Full member of the Association, all applicants must undergo a rigorous inspection by a UKWA Council official to ensure that they operate to the highest minimum standards in 11 critical areas of warehousing. Only by demonstrating that it can comply with these standards will a company's membership application be accepted and, to ensure that the highest level of performance is maintained, UKWA members are expected to participate in an annual operational audit programme.
